Robert "Bob" Bennett a carpenter started R. Bennett & Co. Ltd in 1945 carrying out maintenance work for Wolverhampton and Dudley Breweries PLC (Now Marstons). He had worked since 1936 for a company, which specialised in maintenance work with W&DB PLC and used his contact to forge a relationship, which continues to this day.
